The thing about Neil is, as a result of experiencing some of the worst downs in his life, he created a way to help himself feel better. And, this resulted in not only a way better mood, but a Webby Best Blog of the Year award, a best selling book, and a riveting TEDx Toronto talk.
Awesome. That’s what Neil’s all about. Those little things that are awesome. And, personally, I think his 3 A’s (attitude, awareness, and authenticity) are the only way that you and I can experience a happy and satisfying life.
Neil is a great storyteller, funny as heck, and has a message that you need to hear. I encourage you to take 17 minutes out of your awesome day and watch him talk about Rosie Grier and needlepoint, his father’s first experience with pickles and cold cuts, life through 3-year-old eyes, and how to take the lumps and bumps of life and turn them into something manageable.
Watch the TEDx Video here. Take 17 minutes. You likely spend at least that much time on the internet anyway, so why not increase your own awesomeness while you do it.
Then, tell us what you think. I think Neil’s awesome.
