This book is a delightful series of inspirational stories, one for each day, celebrating gratitude.
While reading what other people are grateful for in their lives is wonderfully heartwarming, what I loved most about this project was putting into words my own gratitude.
Hint – the title is “The Breath of Now” and in addition to focusing on the present moment, I did list many of the things in my life I feel grateful for, like: public libraries, specific relationships, my body, crossword puzzles…..
Because this project had a 200 word limit, it made me really think about gratitude and my life in a particularly focused way.
There’s a lot I’m grateful for, but what is important enough to distill into a 200 word limit, and to be proclaimed to the world?
I want you to try this exercise.
Write what you are grateful for in 200 words or less. Make it a story or make it a list, but do check your word count.
Then post it here in the comments section so we can all share. And, to show my gratitude for the first person who does this, I will send you a copy of the book!
